I’m not exactly sure what’s been seeping into the water supply at Amazon’s Seattle offices, but it’s making the executives a little loopy.

They’re hailing Amazon’s new touch-screen tablet, the Kindle Fire HD, as “the best tablet at any price.”

Interestingly, Apple’s claim that the iPhone 5 is the “biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone” (noun bastardization aside) is receiving significant scrutiny, despite its obvious punning on the display size increase. Yet Amazon’s claim was met with no such raising of eyebrows, perhaps because it’s so obviously not the best tablet at any price.
