I’ve posted before about the New York Times’ new paywall, but today, I’ve found a way to support them for up to 65% off. If you subscribe right now to their home delivery service, you’ll get the all-digital-access pass for free (web, plus smartphone and tablet apps). It actually works out to significantly cheaper than purchasing the pass on its own, especially if you select the weekday subscription option (it’s $3.10 per week, versus $8.75 per week for the digital version).
As far as I can tell, this is only available in the US, and the pricing will vary by ZIP code; if you live in Anchorage, you can only get the Sunday edition for $3.75 per week including digital access, and that’s still less-expensive than a digital-only subscription.
